ScreenConnect 6.0 Release Notes
Stable Release Date: August 15, 2016
General Enhancements
New and improved UI
Check out the brand new ScreenConnect Host page!
Note: Due to the new UI, existing themes and customizations may appear differently. The default 6.0 theme now uses light logo images and logo icons. If you have already uploaded a logo on a pre-6.0 version of ScreenConnect, you may need to upload your logos to the resource strings LogoPanel.IconLight
and LogoPanel.ImageLight
after the 6.0 upgrade.
Chat notification icon
An icon will appear on a session to alert hosts of unread chat messages. When there is an unread message, chat notification icons are visible next to session groups, beside the name of a session, and next to the session's chat icon. Check out more information about sending a chat message through the Host page.
Timeline reorientation
The session timeline has been redesigned to scroll vertically with updated event icons.
"Time Since Last Connected" property
The "Guest Last Connected" property now appears into the information section of the Host page.
Open URL when a session has ended
Administrators can now force a link, such as a survey or web page, to open when a session has ended. View our knowledge base article on opening a URL when a session ends.
Notification when guest client is minimized
A notification will now appear when the guest minimizes the chat menu, reminding them that ScreenConnect is still running. To disable this notification, see the following article: KB:Disable guest minimized notification.
Hide the host's toolbar during a meeting or screen-sharing session
The host's presentation controls will be hidden to all other participants in a meeting or in a screen-sharing session.

Using the web.config file, administrators can automatically enable three host client features:
- Wake lock
- Block guest input
