Configure Sign-In Options for Identify

Overview

This document describes how to set up multi-factor authentication (MFA) and ConnectWise single sign-on (SSO) for Identify. Please note that MFA settings for SSO users are managed from ConnectWise Home.

Note: Seamless login via ConnectWise SSO is now enabled. It is recommended to link your ConnectWise SSO account to Identify. To connect to a new ConnectWise SSO account, refer to Connect Identify to a New SSO Account.

Connect Identify to an Existing SSO Account

Link SSO from the Login Page

To connect from the login page:

  1. Navigate to the Identify login page.
  2. Enter your ConnectWise SSO email and password.
  3. Click CONNECT

Link SSO from Identify Settings

To link SSO from your profile settings:

  1. Navigate to Account Options > My Profile > Linked Accounts.
  2. Click LINK ACCOUNT.
  3. Enter your ConnectWise SSO email.
  4. Click NEXT.
  5. Enter your SSO password.
  6. Click LOGIN.

Connect Identify to a New SSO Account

To connect to a new SSO account:

  1. Navigate to the Identify login page.
  2. Click LOGIN WITH CONNECTWISE.
  3. Click Sign Up.

  4. Complete the form.

  5. Click Create Company.
  6. Enter your Identify email and password.
    Log in to Identify
  7. Click CONNECT.

Enable MFA

To enable MFA for Identify, you must have a valid one-time password (OTP) authentication service. Identify works with any OTP authentication service, though Google™ Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator, and Duo are recommended.

Note: You can only enable MFA for your own user account; you cannot enable MFA for other users.

To enable MFA:

  1. Navigate to Settings > Identify Credentials > Multi-Factor Authentication.
  2. Click ENABLE MFA.

  3. Open your preferred authenticator app.
  4. Scan the barcode or enter the alphanumeric code into the authenticator app.

  5. Enter the six-digit authentication code.

  6. Click LOGIN.
