ConnectWise

Triggers page

Create and edit triggers to fire off actions when a certain event has occurred.

Introduction

Triggers are rules or recipes that can "fire" an action when a certain session event occurs. Triggers can also be incorporated with extensions to provide additional notifications.

Types of triggers

From the Triggers page, you can create two different types of triggers:

Trigger type Description Examples
Session Uses ScreenConnect's session data, such as connection events, to trigger an email, web request, or a session event
  • Send an email when a guest connects to an unconnected support or meeting session
  • Send a chat message when a guest connects to a session
Security Uses ScreenConnect's security data, such as login data, to trigger an email or web request
  • Send an email when a user enters an invalid one-time password
  • Send an email when a user locks themselves out of their ScreenConnect account.

Sort, filter and search triggers

To find and organize your triggers, use the sort, filter and search features.
